Vacation Time
On January 1, full-time employees become entitled to a paid vacation allowance to be taken during the vacation period (January 1 through December 31). The amount of vacation days depends on the employment category and the number of years of service.
Employees become eligible for an increased amount of vacation according to their length of service with the company. Based on completed years of service, increased vacation accrual rates are effective as of January 1.
• Part-time employees will have their vacation day allowances prorated based on the number of hours they ordinarily work per week.
• Within the year that it will be accrued, unearned vacation may be used in advance at management’s discretion; however, upon termination, employees may be responsible for reimbursing the company for any paid, unearned vacation.
• If a holiday falls during the employee’s vacation, the day will be charged as holiday hours rather than vacation hours.
• Vacation hours must be taken during the calendar year in which they are earned.
• If employment is terminated, accrued unused vacation leave earned through the last day of active employment will be paid at the employee’s base rate of pay at termination.
VACATION CREDIT FOR PRIOR SERVICE
If an employee has prior service with Euronet and is reemployed, full credit will be granted for prior service for the purpose of vacation allowance. Credit will not be granted for the purpose of any other company benefit.
